I made that huge scarf during a month-long anxiety attack.  During that time, I also made one for Rebecca Beegle that swallowed her entire torso. The one I made for Billy Cotter was 7' long and gave him an undeniable Where's Waldo look even though it was green.

I really loved my old livejournal blog, Shipping and Handling. In it, I wrote about my boyfriend, I reported on my sincere attempts to create a sugar-based and craft-based business empire, I wrote about my dear friend Gabrielle Bouliane dying, and, of course, I talked about trying several diets (fact: they're all bad, none of them work, and you probably know this already.) I thought being vegan would make me skinny until I realized that french fries, guacamole and chips, and oreos are all vegan.

I haven't kept a blog since then, probably because I've spent a lot of time writing shows to perform, creating a storytelling company with Rebecca Beegle called, The Grownup Lady Story Company, and making silly posts on Facebook. But, I've missed sharing the details of my life, a day or a week at a time, in the intimate (at least it feels intimate) style of a personal blog. So, here I am.

Sharing my stories has been my passion my whole life. I've written a memoir, performed several one-woman shows, and overshared with everyone who knows me and a lot of exhausted yet kind shop clerks and baristas. Another lifelong passion of mine is making arts and crafts. I've made greeting cards, decorated cakes and cookies, and made plenty of sometimes terrifying, sometimes pretty, expressive-art paintings, collages, mandalas, and life drawings. I make something almost everyday. I'm excited to offer my monthly mail art subscription through this blog and I hope you'll subscribe and maybe send me some of yours to show here.

I won't say much more here about myself since this whole fucking thing is about me, but I will say this: I will not EVER have advertising on this blog, I will not EVER share your information with anyone, I will not EVER have product testimonials, and I will not EVER let one of those creepy ad companies put cookies in your computer to profile you. I promise.

I hope you enjoy my blog and, if you feel like it, share it with people you know who might enjoy it too. I hope you share your own links with me. I hope you feel inspired to write, make things, and tell your stories.

Keep in touch and so will I!
